pcwRunAs 0.4

pcwRunAs is a lightweight Windows utility from IDG Magazine Verlag GmbH that lets you launch applications under a different user account with just a click. It streamlines everyday admin and support tasks by allowing you to create shortcuts that start programs with either elevated administrative rights or reduced privileges, without having to reenter credentials each time. This makes it easy to run maintenance tools from a standard account or, conversely, to open browsers and email clients with limited rights for added safety.

Key benefits:

• Run programs as another user without manual credential prompts each time
• Choose between elevated or restricted execution to fit security needs
• Create reusable shortcuts and command-line calls for repeatable workflows
• Useful for help desks, system administrators, and security-conscious users

Designed to be simple and efficient, pcwRunAs helps you enforce the principle of least privilege while keeping routine tasks fast and convenient on Windows desktops.
